Fuel gauge junk? We have a nice replacement one that has a glass lens, with the AC name on the face for the D10-15 Tractors, the ED40, the H3 Dozer, and the Industrial series Tractors as well. I40, I400, I60, I600. This fuel gauge and sending unit are for the 1 5/8" tank diameter hole!  Because the mounting screws are usually rusted and trashed as well, we supply 4 new screws with this kit.
